2008 Twelve Pinot Noir Estate
The 2008 vintage is now available. $25.
90 points Wine Spectator - This is light overall, with a tangy balance and a grip of tannins to the red berry, pink peppercorn and floral flavors. The finish persists expressively. Best from 2012 through 2018.
2008 Twelve Pinot Noir 144
This is a barrel selection of the oldest vines in the vineyard. Fruit was picked on October 29, 2008 - the latest date we've ever picked Pinot Noir. Well-balanced and very elegant. Only 100 cases produced. $35.
92 points Wine Spectator - Bright and lively, featuring juicy raspberry and cherry fruit that dances against refreshing acidity. Tannins have a mild grip on the finish. This is likable already, and the finish doesn't quit. Drink now through 2018. 110 cases made.
2008 Twelve Pinot Noir Uh-Huh
This barrel selection comes from our first ever experiment with whole-cluster fermentation. This wine had 33% whole clusters in the fermentation and was aged in 50% new French oak for 20 months. Very complex and very age-worthy. More dark fruit aromas than the other two 2008s. Only 100 cases produced. $40.
92 points Wine Advocate - It profferrs a more brooding bouquet with darker fruit and greater complexity. This is followed by a plush, velvety wine with layered fruit, outstanding volume, impeccable balance and several years of aging potential. This lengthy, seamless effort will be at its best from 2013-2023
2009 Twelve Estate White
We now have white wine, but it won't last long. Our white grape block in the vineyard has 80% Pinot Blanc and 20% Pinot Gris plants. We ferment both varietals together producing a field blend. This wine has aged on the lees for over 18 months resulting in a wnderful balance and mouthfeel. Released April 2011. About 100 cases produced. $16. Still looking for the updated label picture :-)
